Our Founders

Developing a New Source of Seafood

Our founders, a Chartered Accountant & a Phd in Cell science met during an alternative protein summit and saw complementary journey & skillsets in solving one of the biggest problems and possibly carving out a business opportunity from it. Inspired by their own experiences of having run a B2B seafood supply startup & having the necessary technical expertise of cell line & scaffolds research, it was a coming together of the necessary business & technical competence to reimagine the future of seafood

We will have 10 billion mouths to feed worldwide by 2050, so we have to get cooking. Luckily, we have started full guns blazing.

From One Fish To Enough Fishes For Everyone

  • Step 01
    Sample

    Cells are the building blocks of meat, so we identify and select the best shrimps to give us the ideal cells for great tasting meat.

  • Step 02
    Nourish

    To produce shrimp meat, we first need to nourish the cells. We feed them a proprietary blend of micronutrients optimized for our meats.

  • Step 03
    Cultivate

    We place the cells in a vessel called a cultivator. There they follow their natural process to form meat, just like they would be growing on an animal.

  • Step 04
    Harvest

    After 2-3 weeks, we harvest the meat. Ready to be inspected, prepared, packed, served, and enjoyed.
